• A scheme has been launched by the Esso Petroleum Co. Ltd. designed primarily to help operators of commercial vehicles who need to improve their maintenance systems as a result of recent and anticipated legislation.
Trained local Esso industrial representatives will help operators in devising maintenance schedules based on the requirements of the operator and types of vehicles operated.
With the aid of a wall chart the operator himself chooses the frequency of service and type.
A series of record cards and check sheets has been developed and these will be supplied to operators joining the scheme. Like the advice service, no charge will be involved but participation in the scheme requires the customer to sign a five-year supply agreement for Esso lubricants.
