• This year the Don Safety Trophy, presented annually by Small and Parkes Ltd. for the vehicle which, in the opinion of an independent panel, has outstanding merit from a safety viewpoint, has been awarded to the Jaguar company for its XJ6 saloon.
Also highly commended by the panel of judges was the Dennis front-wheel-drive ambulance— "an exceptionally well-designed vehicle-.
