• The second stage in the GLC's Oxford Street vehicle ban comes into operation tomorrow, Saturday.
Drivers are warned that Oxford Street, between Oxford Circus and Portman Square will be closed to all westbound traffic except buses, taxis, delivery vehicles, invalid carriages and cycles. The ban operates between 11 am and 9pm, Mondays to Saturdays. A similar restriction on vehicles going east came into effect on October 19.
