• The Road Transport Industry Training Board has announced the value of the points which it has awarded to operators for the disbursement of money which remains. after specific grants have been met for the training year August 1971 to July 1972.
Passenger transport operators will get 152p for each point; road haulage operators 151p; motor vehicle retailers and repairers 51p; removers 279p; driving schools 25p; warehouse keepers 80p plus 45 per cent additional block grant; agricultural machinery dealers 45p; vehicle bodybuilders and repairers 158p; and motor factors 125p.
The Board says that the next levy is due on December 15, before which date operators will have been informed of the levy due, the grant authorized and the netted amount due to the Board. Operators whose grant exceeds the amount of levy due will receive a cheque from the Board in due course.
