Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

past week's hot topics of discussion among members of the UK's leading internet forum for professional drivers.

ALMOST ALL ASPECTS of the industry are discussed in depth on TruckNet UK, whether they are serious or light-hearted.

One topic manages to surface almost every week in the Owner and Fleet Operators forum advice on becoming an owner-driver. Many of the owner-driver hopefuls use TruckNet UK for research before deciding whether to take the leap into truck ownership, taking advice from experienced owners on the pitfalls and looking for tips on the best way to become established, It is not uncommon for a hopeful to post that they have afew grand and are going to buy atopof-the-range, chromed-up, spotlighted wagon with all bells and whistles and can anyone tell them where they can find some work as they start out on Monday. More experienced owner-drivers try to give them a reality check.

In the Professional Drivers forum discussions include comments on the new TV documentary series featuring a South Wales haulier. While the TV show doesn't come off too badly from drivers' 'comments, some less than complimentary remarks are being made concerning the company itself.

In the Bully's Bar forum there's the sad tale of a certain website community manager who, after an ill-timed visit to the pub, was forced to buy his irate truck-driving wife a small gift to apologise. A non-truck-driving wife, I assume, would be happy with lots of grovelling, flowers and chocolates. However this particular chap ended up paying out for a 1967 Series 2A longwheel base Land Rover.

Also this week, TruckNet UK gained a new sponsor. Tachodisc, which already works closely with our partner website Roadtransport, com, has come aboard as sponsor of the Professional Drivers forum and the Safety Law and Working Directive forum.

That concludes the round-up of the topics and news at TruckNet UK, but my time this week will not be spent in the pub... I have a historic 4x4 to clean and polish.
