• Agreement has been reached between the Southampton Cargo Handling Co Ltd and the TGWU in connection with the driving of commercial freight vehicles onto and off Townsend Thoresen Ferries at Southampton. The working arrangement will be that all unaccompanied freight will continue to be driven by registered dock workers and all accompanied vehicles will be handled by their own drivers. Implementation began on Wednesday.
