MR. DAVID C. HANEY has been appointed managing director of the International Harvester Company of Great Britain, Ltd. He had been sales director since January, 1954, and was appointed assistant managing director in April this year.

MR. J. §. TUNBRIDGE has been appointed resident representative of the new Measham branch of Bowmaker, Ltd. MR. J. S. D, COOK has taken up a similar appointment at the new Dumfries branch.. MR. A. B. GODFREY has been promoted to sub-manager of the Weston-SuperMare branch.

OBITUARY

%IA regret to record the deaths of MR. WY J. A. DUNKERLEY, MR. I. A. HANKINS, MR. FRANK 1. BRIDE and MR. W. CLIFFORD JONES.

. Mr. Dunkerley, the well-known north western advocate, who was reported seriously ill in last week's issue of The Conunercial Motor, died at the week-end.

He was aged 49, When the North Western Licensing Authority held a public inquiry on Tuesday, the court observed a minute's silence in Mr. Dunkerley's memory.

Mr. Hankins was the founder of Reliance Motors, Ltd., Scunthorpe, bus operators, which ceased operations just after the war. He was 68.

Mr. Bride, a former haulage contractor of Haltwhistle, Northumberland, died at South Warnborough, Hants.

Mr. Jones was, for the past 25 years, manager of the Cardiff branch of Brown Bros„ Ltd.
