(IN Tuesday, Bristol Corporation V./considered two schemes for the purchase of the city tramways system. A decision was reached to purchase the trams, subject to agreement on certain details, for £1,125,000, payable in 3-per-cent. corporation stock.
• It is intended that the tramways system shall be abandoned within two years and be replaced by buses. The corporation will then own a half-share in the city services of the Bristol Tramways and Carriage Co., Ltd.
