AN ASSURANCE has been ,given by the Road Haulage Association to the Devon County Council that it will offer the "fullest co-operation" in the preparation of a "sensible and realistic" network of roads suitable for heavy lorries within the cou nty. Th is was revealed last week by Mr Derek Good,

Chairman of the RHA's Devon and Cornwall area, when he addressed the annual dinner of the North Devon sub-area.

Mr Good went on to say that it was no use the Government trying to divert heavy traffic from towns and villages while at the same time cancelling road-building plans.
