TT is understood that Dennis Bros., I Ltd.. Guildford, is building a horizontal-engined single-decker passenger chassis, which will be exhibited at the Commercial Motor Show this year. The existing 7.6-litre direct-injection oil engine is being modified for use in the new chassis and will be placed between the axles,
GROCERS OPPOSE HIGHER WAGES FOR DRIVERS
PROPOSFD wage increases for transport workers in the grocery trade, drawn up by the Retail Food Trades Wages Council, have been objected to by the National Federatioa of Grocers' and Provision Dealers' Association. In a memorandum the Association refers to the effect the increases will have in putting drivers ofdelivery vans out of true relation with other grocery workers.
