• A course in road transport management for junior managers is to be held at the Ealing Technical College, School of Management on Thursdays from January 6 to March 30 1972.
The course, which is sponsored by the RHA and the FTA and approved by the RTITB, will cost £75 which includes lunch and refreshments on each of the 13 days and a further £20 for a compulsory residential weekend training session on January 21-23.
Candidates for the course are expected to be employed in junior management positions and be regarded by their employers as suitable for future promotion to higher positions. The age range is expected to be 20-30 years.
The subjects in the syllabus cover such aspects as transport law, insurance. marketing, training, management techniques, industrial relations, financial matters and discussions on the merits of a variety of transport modes. Lecturers are drawn from Ealing Technical College, from a trade union, the RTITB. the DoE and from industry.
