subsidiary of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., U.S.A., is to build a £2.7m. tyre plant in Jamaica, 30 miles from Kingston.

New Name : F. E. Callow (Engineers) Ltd. has changed its name to Callow Engineering Ltd., the name by which it has generally been known. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Weston Evans (Holdings) Ltd.
Two New Dawe Divisions : Dawe instruments Ltd. will introduce two new divisions within the company on January 1, 1966. Designated the industrial division and the instrument division, they will complement the power ultrasonics and non-destructive testing divisions formed during 1965. The industrial division will develop and market comprehensive ranges of sound and vibration measurement and analysis equipment, stroboscopes and the digital torquemeter originally developed in association with the Ford Motor Co. Ltd. The divisional manager will be Mr. B. J. Peach. The instrument division will be responsible for all laboratory test equipment and will introduce later in 1966 a complete new range of digital display modules. Former project leader Mr. R. J. Bowen will be the divisional manager.
