• Seaton Valley (Northumberland) urban council has approved the idea of a Tyneside Passenger Transport Authority, but has suggested that it should be extended to include Blyth, Morpeth, Bedlington and Ashington. The council has also recommended that smaller local authorities, including those in rural areas, should have greater representation on the proposed PTA.
