The most prestigious award in the LCV sector is presented annually to the van which, in the opinion of the judges, makes the most significant contribution to the efficient carriage of goods by road.
Announcing the result at this week's IAA CV show in Hannover, chairman of the International Van of the Year jury Pieter VVieman, said the van had impressed the jury on a number of fronts and above all by the fact that Fiat had succeeded in offering the Doblo Cargo in the widest number of platform and body types on the market.
The jury was particularly impressed with the wide range of engines, he added, which now includes a turbocharged CNG engine and a plug-in electric version of the DoblO, ready for production.
