THE FREIGHT Transport Association has reiterated its call for the widening of several motorways to ease congestion.
Campaign manager Chris Welsh told the Highways Agency trunk road management conference that more motorway investment was crucial.
Welsh congratulated the Highways Agency on the work it had done in the past year, but said that much more work was necessary on particular "trade routesincluding the M1 , M4, M6, M25, M60 and M62.
