Foreign Trade in Motor Vans and Wagons: Definite Values.

The value of Germany's foreign trade in motor vans and wagons during the past twelvemonth has now been definitely determined, that given by me a few months back having been but of a provisional character. Her imports stand at 433.000 marks (514,000 in 1907), and her exports at 1,850,000 marks (3,437,000 in 1907); hence, compared with the preceding year, there was a considerable fall in values for purchases as well as sales. It is of interest to note that. from the middle of 1901 to the middle of 1906 the values of imports and exports kept company, both fluctuating equally between 350 and 400 marks per 100 kilos.; but then they separated, exports taking an upward curve to 500 marks and finally dropping to 450, imports in the meantime remaining steadily at 400 marks. I have no need to make any further reference to this branch of trade ; the statistics furnished on a previous occasion gave sufiicient information for the purposes of this journal.
