• Ford vehicle distributors for certain regions of West Africa, Compagnie Franeaise de l'Afrique Occidentale, was earlier this year successful in obtaining, against an official Government tender, an order for 57 Ford Model K700 commercial vehicles for the Republic of Togo Ministry of Public Works. This order, financed by the World Bank and secured against strong European competition, was handled by the Liverpool branch of the C FAO, a limited company registered in France, and shipment is currently being undertaken by Regis Shipping and Forwarding Co Ltd of Liverpool.
The consignment of K700 models consists of 50 tippers, five chassis with water tank bodies supplied by C. F. Taylor (Industrial) Ltd. and two chassis /cab versions.
