VENTNOR ROAD CARS, LTD., the Country House.—This company, of which Mr_ Harry Barton is secretary, has only been floated this season and is consequently in the development stage. At present the concern is running a Commercar bus, and the vehicle is employed in journeying from the sea front through the town, thence taking two routes, one to the outlying district of St. Lawrence and the other to the railway station. On Wednesday afternoons the street service is taken off, and special circular trips are run to various outlying places of interest in the island, amongst these being Carisbrooke Castle, Newport, Sea View, Sandowu and Shanklim The company anticipates that. the car will be useful for football parties during the winter season. The vehicle insi be hired for private parties. The directors are on the look out for a char-k-banes to be used far long-distance trips, and then it is intended to keep the Cornmerear bus solely for street service.
