Messrs. SKTNNRRS, 18, Western Road.—The members of this firm are well-known jobmasters and corn merchants, and during the last summer have been operating four motor charsa-bancs : a 35 h.p. Leyland, a 45 h.p. Leyland, a 40 h.p. Thames and a 36 h.p. Daimler. A good season has been experienced during the operation of a comprehensive programme of special day and halfday trips. Amongst these, we may particularly mention the 3. journeys to Wincholsea and Rye, to Bodiam Castle, or lo Battle Abbey and Normanhurst Court, including the site of the Battle of Hastings. Other regular trips have included : Ea. return to Folkestone; 35. return to Hurstmonceaux Castle; Si. return to Brighton; 6s. return to Tunbridge Wells. In addition, considerable business has been done in respect of special outings for privately-arranged holiday parties. During the winter, Messrs. Skinners keep two machines specially running on the road for meets of hounds in the district.
