Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A small independent coach operator which was launched three years ago by a former York City bus driver, has challenged York City & District with a 10-bus operation on the city's busiest route.

Ten new Renault minibuses are being run by Premier Coaches of Dunnington on a high-frequency service from

Acomb to Osbaldwick. Marketed as Target Travel, the buses run every 71/2 minutes

from Monday to Saturday.

Premier runs three coaches and a minibus on private hire with one full-time employee. Many of the 12 drivers who will operate the minis were recruited from YC&D. WYRC founder Brian Gallier says there are enough gaps in the YC&D operation to leave room for his service.
