Brand rejected requests by Annandale and Eskdale District Council and local residents that the
company's operation should 1 cease three hours earlier on weekdays and that there be none at all at weekends. He also rejected arguments that the operating centre at Lowtherton Garage, Annan Road, was too small and that the access to the A75 trunk road was unduly hazardous.
Evidence had been given by the company that it was essential that it operated at the proposed times if night time working, which they accepted would be
disturbing to the residents, was to be avoided.
The application was granted with two conditions controlling vehicle movements, and maintenance.
