IT IS false economy to repel commercial vehicle road wheels, according to George Fischer Sales Ltd, as such wheels will have a definite life limitation.
According to the company, there are five "don'ts" and one "do" to observe with wheels.
Do not — use cracked wheels, damaged flanges, repair wheels by welding, lubricate wheel studs with grease or use extensions to tighten up wheel nuts.
Do — use torque wrenches to set the correct torque settings for wheel fixings.
