DAVID RENDALL MA, has been appointed marketing manager for the National Express division of National Bus Company with effect from June 1, 1984, in succession to Mick Vigor who has taken up a post outside the group.
Mr Rendall will be responsible for the promotion of the National Express network of coach services, which are provided by NBC's 45 local operating companies.
He is currently continental services manager for National Express, having been responsible for the launch of the 'Supabus' network of express coach services to Ireland and the continent early in 1983. He will continue to have special responsibilities for the development of 'Supa bus'.
Mr Rendall, who is 32, obtained a BA Honours degree in Spanish at Durham University and his MA at the University of Liverpool. After a period of teaching in South America he joined the UK operation of Magicbus as general manager in 1978, moving to National Express in 1983.
