• The Department for Transport said that a study looking at ways of improving the 447 in Norfolk will also consider the 412 between Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft. The 447 Alliance campaign said that selected dualling, junction improvements and the creation of a third river crossing in Great Yarmouth would boost economic output by £390m a year.

• The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (formerly Vosa and the DSA) has pushed back the introduction of manual entitlement for HGV drivers who take their practical driving test in an automatic vehicle.
