Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IN "The Commercial Motor "dated December 19, there appeared an Albion advertisement illustrated by a van of that make carrying the words "Johnnie Walker." I notice that the registration number on this vehicle is DCS599 and yet it is stated that it was delivered "in time to help with the Christmas rush."

It happens that DCS is an Ayrshire registration which was started more than a year ago. That being so, surely this Albion was on the road early for Christmas? would add that, in spite of my interest in such a matter, my age is only nine.

Galston, Ayrshire. T. LAURIE.

[We must congratulate our youthful correspondent on his perspicuity. The actual date that the vehicle was licensed naturally depends upon how many other vehicles from this area were put into service before the number 599 was reached, but we will leave it to Albion Motors, Ltd., or John Walker and Sons, Ltd., to make any further reply that may be considered necessary.--ED.1
