BOTH the Louth and Wells depots of British Road Services offered in list R.6 have been bought by dealers. The Louth unit, comprising premises in Upgatc and ,Gospelgate, 18 licensed vehicles, two licensed trailers (56 tons) and three spares, has gone to Mr. T. Regan, Chun Farm, Horsmonden, Kent. Haeketts Haulage, Ltd., 229 Cross Lane, Salford, 5, have acquired the Wells depot.

A spokesman for Hacketts Haulage told The Commercial Motor on Monday that a decision on the future of the Wells business would not be taken until after Christmas. The takeover date is January 23. The unit: consists of 20 vehicles on special . A licences (96 tons) and two additional lorries, as well as premises.

Mr. E. Waters, 84 St. Mary's Avenue, Monkseaton, has transferred another 73 ',vehicles, details of which are given below.

NORTHERN AREA

According to the current issue of Applications and Decisions for the Northern Traffic Area, the big purchase of B.R.S. vehicles, reported in The Commercial Motor on August 5 to have been made by Mr. E. Waters, 84 St. Mary's Avenue, Monkseaton, involved 168 vehicles (523•[ tons).

Seventy-three of these have so far been transferred. Wren and -Brewster (Transport); Ltd:, 125 Clayton Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, whose -name was associated with the purchase, have taken eight lorries (26 tons 3'cwt.), the others going to:—
