I/sT a recent paper, M. L. Bacqueyrisse, the general director of the Societe des Transports en Commun de la Region Parisienne, gave some interesting figures regarding the development of bus services in Paris and district.

The number of buses controlled by the company increased from 734 in 1921 to 1,978 at the beginning of 1932 and to 2,879 at the commencement of the present year. The numbers of services run at the three periods mentioned were respectively 37, 128 and 183, and the distance covered by them 156, 560 and 870 miles.
