Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Transport Ferry Service, in an announcement this week said that to meet the demands of increasing and changing trends in traffic to the Continent, it has extended its facilities at Felixstowe and Europoort, Rotterdam. Sailings have been increased to 11 per week giving a crossing every 12 hours in each direction and extra parking is being provided at Felixstowe. Additional ramps are planned for both ports which will enable vehicles on and off the upper deck of the vessels, avoiding the previous method of crane loading.

My Gaelic Ferry has been brought up to the standard of the newest vessel, my Europic Ferry, and both cater for all types of traffic including refrigerated and heated vehicles. An important feature of the vessels is the provision of excellent comfort for the lorry driver, the four-berth cabins being provided with fitted carpets, wardrobe, wash basins arid razor points. Special club-rooms serve as dining and recreation rooms and include television.

The present rates for freight are being increased by 15 per cent as from May 17, but to encourage their use the rates for self-drive vehicles are to be increased only by 8-9 per cent.
