MR. K. F. TARRANT. who was for 13 years with Henley's Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd., has joined Union Tyre Supplies (Great Britain), Ltd., as representative in the London region.
Mn. ALFRED LoosN, who has been associated with the railways in Manchester for 33 years, has been appointed executive assistant to the north west divisional manager (freight) of the Road Transport Executive.
MR. D. M. SINCLAIR, general manager of the Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Co., Ltd., is on a six-week visit to the United States and Canada, where he plans to make a 6,000-mile coast-to-coast tour. He will visit important manufacturers and operators of passenger vehicles.
MR. J. L. VINCENT has been appointed manufacturers' special representative of the Avon India Rubber Co., Ltd., in place of MR. J. T. FtrzoERALo, who has resigned. Mr. Vincent was previously office manager of the Avon depot at Birmingham and will continue to operate from 41-42, Livery Street, Birmingham, 3.
MR. F. H. CLAYTON, chief engineer of the North Western Road Car Co., Ltd., Stockport, is recommended for appointment as deputy general manager of Liverpool Corporation's passenger transport department. The city council will be asked to confirm this apointment at its next meeting. Mr. Clayton, who is 38 years of age, served his apprenticeship with Leyland Motors, Ltd. Mn. Ft R. W. CHOWN has been appointed a director of Sylicum Pistons. Ltd.
MR. D. J. H. FLOOKS, A.M.INsr.T., has resigned his position of group engineer of Red and White United Transport, Ltd., as from October 31. He was with the company for 5i years and is now joining a Welsh concern of private-car distributors as general manager.
Mn. H. D. B. EADEN, assistant to MR. M. F. COOP, the new secretary of the Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., has succeeded him as head of the company's legal department. Mr. Eaden was a lieutenant-commander, R.N.V.R., during the war, commanding 809 Naval Fighter Squadron -during the invasion of France.
MR. T. H. Y. BONSEY, D.F.H., of the British Aluminium Co., Ltd., has become sales manager of the Aluminium Wire and Cable Co., Ltd. He was seconded in 1945 to the Control Commission for Germany. MR. C. H. E. RIDPATH, B.Sc., A.M.I.Mscit.E., also of B.A.C., has joined the Aluminium Wire and Cable Co., Ltd., as deputy sales manager.
Mn. H. J. VOYCE, A.E.C. divisional manager for the East Midlands, who underwent a serious operation towards the end of September, is now recovering at his home at Radcliffe-on-Trent. It will be some time before he is able to resume his duties at Nottingham. MR. C. P. PRICE. divisional manager in the south west, has almost recovered from the effects of an operation early this month, and expects to be back in office next week.
