• Essex coaching independents Tellyn Motor Services have succeeded in a claim against Arlington Motor Company involving the sale of a coach which it was alleged was older than Arlingtoris had represented.
The claim, which was listed for a full day's hearing at Chelmsford County Court, concerned a Bedford Duple coach which Tellyn maintained was sold to them as first registered in 1974. It had in fact first been registered in September 1973.
After lengthy discussions between the parties judgement in favour of Tellyns was agreed in the sum of £1,200 with no award as to costs.
