Yorkshire Removers Meet, Mr. Robert Barr, chairman of A.R.O. Yorkshire Area, and Mr. Harry Clark, employers' secretary of the Yorkshire Conciliation Board, addressed a meeting of the Yorkshire Furniture Removers Association, at Leeds, last week.

Mr. Barr spoke on the work of the employers' panel of the Yorkshire Board, and dealt with the question of rates stabilization. Mr. Clark, too, referred to the latter subject.

Important Speaker at C.M.U.A. Croydon Meeting.

Mr. W. A. Winson, vice-chairman of the C.M.U.A., and a prominent member of the merger negotiation committee, will be the principal speaker at the Croydon meeting of the Association, to be held at the Greyhound Hotel, on Monday next, at 8 p.m. The subject of Mr. Winson's address will be "Co-ordination of Road Trans port." Mr. J. L. Kinder, national organizer, will also speak on " Justice for the Road Transport Industry."

Another Link in Unity's Chain.

The Carmarthen and Joint Counties Road Transport Association is to amalgamate with the South Wales and West of England division of the as from June 1. The former has a big membership of hauliers, and the merger will result in the C.M.U.A. in South Wales becoming a strong representative association of both passenger and goods operators.
