Bob Clarke founder of Octagon Recovery, has died.

He retired as managing director last October, having been in the truck business since leaving the Royal Air Force in 1962.

In 1976 he joined National Breakdown to start its commercial vehicle operations, and three years later left to set up Octagon Recovery, which is now owned by the RAC.
