Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Keywords : Markinch, Whisky

• A firm which admitted falsifications or records lost three of its A-licensed vehicles last week. John Birrell and Sons, of Markinch, Fife, told the Scottish deputy LA, Mr. L. A. Wells, that on two occasions drivers' records had been altered to meet an emergency. In one instance a vehicle had been driven from Markinch to London loaded with whisky. The reason there had been no overnight stop was given as lack of security. The second admitted offence was when a load of whisky for export would have missed the ship if the legal hours had been observed.

The company, which operates 12 vehicles —six on A licence and six on Contract A—was founded in 1894. Mr. Wells said that further offences would result in complete revocation of its licences.
