The Shadow Minister of Transport, Mr. Peter Walker, MP, wrote last week to the director-general of the National Economic Development Council telling him that the analysis of Transport Bill implementation costs presented to that body by Mrs. Castle was wrong, and offering to meet NEDC members to justify the figures which the Tories recently attributed to the Bill's effects.
Mr. Walker said in his letter: ''The Minister has used her paperfor publicity purposes and has given it a wide circulation. There has been no indication of whether her figures have been accepted or disputed by the NEDC".
