Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IN order to facilitate the loading of heavy machinery and road-making appliances, a low-loading platform is an advantage, and a new semi-trailer, suitable for the transport of excavators and similar loads, has been produced by Turner Trailers (Halifax), Ltd., Dunkirk Sheet, Halifax.

As will be seen from the accompanying illustration, the well of the trailer is only a few inches from the ground, and this allows an excavator or road crane to be run on to the platform under its own power by means of a runway.

The frame of the trailer is welded and plated. It is also strengthened with angle iron, welded beneath the platform, in order to eliminate any twist or torque in the chassis frame. Twin rear wheels are fitted. The semi-tra,iler, which is mounted on semi-elliptic springs, is easily detachable, and is interchangeable with the standard Duaload platform-body attachments.

Standard Duaload semi-trailers are available for loads from 5-12 tons, with boOv lengths of 16 ft., 18 ft. and 20 ft.

They are equipped with servo-operated brakes and an easily detachable " break-way " valve for use when coupling or uncoupling.

A separate brake handle is also provided for use when the vehicle is de

tached from the tractor. A quick release device is incorporated, and it is claimed that the operation of attaching and detaching the trailer, including the lowering of the jockey wheels, may be done in a minute.
