port (Mon.) Transnort Department from the Corporation Road _Depot has• been -agreed to by the town council. The transport committee, who made a number of recommendations last week, also suggested that a building to cost some £16,500 be erected there.
It was also agreed that discussions should take place with Mr. F. H. Smeed, Chief Constable, on the re-routeing of buses to reduce the number crossing Newport Bridge. The relief of Mr. G. P. Trigg, traffic superintendent, from his present duties, to plan service revisions aimed at reducing expenditure, was also approved.
