QHAREHOLDERS of Guy Motors, k--)Ltd., have been strongly recommended by the directors to support the re-election to the board of Mr. A. L. Blower, former chairman, and Mr. A. G. Jones, managing director, when the company hold an extraordinary meeting next Friday. As reported in The Commercial Motor on December 25, three persons holding by proxy 3.4 per cent. of the voting rights prevented the re-election of Mr. Blower and Mr. Jones at the annual meeting.

Mr. R. S. Guy, chairman, points out

that the company were already in difficulties when Mr. Blower became chairman and most of the directors joined the board. In the past two years good progress had been made and operating costs had been reduced by E125,000 a year.

Orders were highly satisfactory and the directors believed that the company would soon begin to reap the benefit of efforts made over the past two years. Mr. Jones, a production engineer, was appointed managing director because the comnany needed increased output.
