retire on January 31. , MR. CURTIS M. KLAERNER has replaced MR. ARTHUR L. LANCKTON as a director of the Mobil Oil Co.. Ltd.
MR. R. DAVIS, senior tester of The Zenith Carburetter Co., Ltd., has retired after 45 years with the company.
MR. JOHN L. Ltrnmais has joined the board of the body division of the Pressed Steel Co., Ltd. He will direct research.

MR. R. H. JEATER has been appointed branch manager of the Romford office of the Mercantile Credit Co., Ltd. He succeeds MR. A. E. REDDING, who has died.
MR. H. F. Hoocsota has been appointed chairman and managing director of Joseph Sankey and Sons, Ltd. He succeeds MR. K. S. PEACOCK, who remains a director.
MR. W. H. GILuau, chief engineer of Guy Motors, Ltd., is to retire in February. He has served the company continuously since 1917 and was appointed to his present position in 1954.
MR. B. R. FRASER has been appointed manager of a new manufacturing department in the head office of the Mobil Oil Co., Ltd. He is at present manager of the company's refinery at Coryton and will be succeeded there by MR. J. W. BARTHOLOMEW, his assistant.
MR. A. C. THRELFALL has been appointed sales-promotion manager of Joseph Lucas (Sales and Service), Ltd. He has served the company for 20 years and joined the motor division in 1948. Mn. V. G. CLARK has been appointed to Mr. Threlfall's former area as southeastern sales representative.
Ma. P. B. L. WITrrrtoma has been appointed Glasgow district manager of the Firestone Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd. His managership at Leighton Buzzard has been taken over by MR. C. N. K. Mooa.E. MR. Ma. G. Rcto, chief accountant, has been appointed to the board of Wadham (Holdings), Ltd. MR. J. BADHAM, formerly retail sales manager of the Waterlooville branch of Wadhams, Ltd., has become manager.
MR. ORLANDO OLDAM, assistant managing director of Oldham and Son, Ltd.. has returned after a month's visit to the company's Australian subsidiary. MR. JOHN OLDHAM, chairman of the company. leaves for a three-month overseas tour at the end-of the month.
MR. CLAUD BARRINGTON has become chairman of the Atlantic Steam Navigation Co. Formerly deputy chairman, he succeeds MRS. R. H000, who retired at the end of last year. Mr. Barrington is also on the board of British Road Services and is chairman of B.R.S. (Pickfords), Ltd. MR. HAROLD ELLIOTT, a member of B.R.S. board of management, has also become a director of the Atlantic Steam Navigation Co.

livE regret to record the death of MR. VY JAMES DALZIEL.
Mr. Dalziel, who was 73, was managing director of the Union Transit Co., Ltd.. Glasgow. He joined the company in 1906 and became managing director in 1938 when he succeeded the late Mr. William Dalziel, his cousin and the founder of the business.
