"RAILWAYS must attract more bulk traffic since the present economic development of the country provides this bulk traffic for the railway. The transport board and the railway should re-examine the load factor of their long distance services. At present they run long distance services on parallel routes. "There should not be an immediate curtailment of the long distance bus services in the interest of road-rail co-ordination and the railway should offer more attractive services before any curtailment takes place."
