Better refuse • Laird Municipals has launched a 26m3 version of its VarioPress refuse collection vehicle for 8x4 chassis and second generation RotoPress models which feature improved capacities and down-line service costs.

Contract refuse

• BFI Wastecare has invested £1.65m in 21 Dennis Eagle waste collection vehicles to serve an existing and renewed Kensington and Chelsea refuse collection contract up to April 1998. The order includes nine Phoenix TwinPack recycling bodies on standard Dennis chassis and four Eurobin lift systems on Dennis Elite chassis.
