• A call to set up an Edinburgh Passenger Transport Authority is to be made to the Secretary of State. The city's transport committee has instructed transport manager Mr Ronald Cox to prepare a report in support of a case for submission to Mr Gordon Campbell. The Government has already indicated• that special reasons would be needed to justify an Authority for the Edinburgh area.
