Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The meeting which was held betweer the unofficial dock stewards' committe( and stewards representing drivers -last Friday, in an attempt to break the loni internal TGWU deadlock, proved to b( noisy and inconclusive. While the docker: sympathized with the drivers' problenr they were able to offer little hope that blacking would be lifted and in fact this was confirmed at a subsequent meeting ot the dockers themselves when they rejected any thought of lifting the blacking.

A decision as to what further action th( TGWU drivers could take was to be made at a meeting due to be held yesterday (Thursday).
