URBAN District Councils in the Monmouthshire Western Valley have decided to set up a permanent joiht bus committee, on the lines of the authority which has for some years been functioning for the Eastern Valley. The committee watches developments in bus operation and acts as a medium between the public and the Commissioners, to represent the travelling public's views.
It is stated that, in consequence of the Eastern Valley committee's activities, there is uniformity of fares throughout the area, whilst they are lower than those obtaining in Western
