THE Northern Scotland Traffic Com
missioners have refused to allow W. Alexander and Sons, Ltd., Falkirk, to take over the licence for the ElginLossiemouth route previously held by Messrs. Watt and Smith, of Lossiemouth.
The Alexander concern took up operation on the route several months ago, on condition that a licence was granted, and have hired buses to Messrs, Watt and Smith. Strong opposition was entered on behalf of the Elgin and District Bus Co., which contended that it could provide adequate facilities on the mute. The services are to be reduced.
