FURTHER PRONOUNCEMENT ON MYSTERY TOURS.
ANOTHER reference to mystery tours
has been made by Mr. A. F. Nicholson, chairman of the Western Traffic Commissioners. As shown in our issue dated October 7, he is well aware of the conditions obtaining, in certain cases, in connection with this class of operation. He has stated further that the matter is receiving the Commissioners' attention, and that a general pronouncement may be made.

MORE REPRESENTATIONS. TuE North-Western Area United Bus
Owners Association, Wrexham, has addressed to the Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Minister of Transport letters embodying resolutions passed at a general meeting representative of 85 bus proprietors in North Wales and the border counties of Cheshire and Shropshire. It is urged that the emergency petrol tax imposed in September, .1931, should be removed, whilst the letter to the Minister deplores the Salter report. TRAM-REPLACEMENT SCHEME COMPLETED.
OSSETT Corporation has decided ta enter into an agreement with Dewsbury Corporation and the National Electric Construction Co., Ltd., • for replacing trams by buses on the route between the two towns. This action is subject to the single fare being 2d., instead of 2d., as proposed.
Last week we announced that Dewsbury had arranged to -enter into the agreement.
