AT a recent meeting of the Standing Joint Committee of Road Hauliers' National Organizations, further consideration wis given to the Government's haulage scheme. It was the unanimous view of the committee that, given goodwill on both sides, the scheme, which represented a complete partnership between the Ministry and the industry, could, and would, be made effective. The committee once again urged the road-transport industry to give its fullest co-operation. and asked each operator to consider carefully how best he can help.
