D El:ERRING to recent transport 1‘proposals, Mr. Donald Dow, of the
Scottish Co-operative Wholesale Society, speaking at a recent co-operative conference in Dundee, said that the forthcoming arbitrary selection of the means for transport may presage complete nationalization of that function. In the process, he -said, railway charges may become so low as to result in the elimination of the greater proportion of goods-carrying vehicles.,, Zonaldelivery of mauufactured goods may become a feature of future economy. Certainly, transport revision would bulk largely in post-war industrial reorganization.
