charge of having defrauded the Ministry of War Transport by inducing a representative of the Ministry to deliver to him eight fuel coupons representing 32 units in respect of a lorry of which he pretended he was still the owner, although he had sold the vehicle two days previously, James M'Allister, haulage contractor; 24, Baker Street, Stirling, was fined £25, with the alternative of 30 days' imprisonment, at Stirling Sheriff Court.
Accused was also fined £3, with the alternative of 10 days in prison, forfailing to notify Stirling County Council in writing of the change in the ownership of the lorry.
