ednesday: to Buckingham Palace where the Duke of Edinburgh launched a charter to persuade industry to back his award scheme for youngsters — 10 companies have sponsored it, including TNT Express.
CM asked whether 10 companies was rather a small number to take part in a project that aims to attract 100,000 youngsters. "It seems a good catch to begin with," the Duke told CM. "Anyway, the project is open-ended — if you're one of those newspaper chappies why don't you get your lot to join in?"
Among the chosen 10 was arch enemy of turkeys, Bernard Matthews. Bootiful job Bernard, just bootiful.
