LAST BIRKENHEAD TRAM TO GO
IE Whole of Birkenhead's transport
:service will be cariiect on by:motorbuses from. July next, when the last of the tramcar services will be 'discontinued.
The North-Western Traffic Commissioners granted permission for the change at a sitting in Liverpool last week, when Mr. Cyril Clarke, the municipal transport manager, said that the length of tramline to be abolished was about 5i miles. Under the new conditions, the public would receive a better, . quicker and more comfortable service.
